Numbers or no, it doesn't make her good. Danielle from Exile Island made it to the end, and she sucked horribly. As did Katie Gallagher, who made it solely
because Ian felt bad.

Erik, throughout the season, was such a huge fan that he made me even question if I should ever apply. I figured, "what's the point?"

Oh, poor, poor Erik. This just proves that women are evil. I'm actually a bit surprised that no one wanted to take Erik to the final 3. Sure he was a
challenge whore, but no one seemed to like him. He could have been beatable, oh well. So, where does this leave us? Well, we have one more IC to go, and
it's almost always endurance. So, what are these ladies' endurance records? Let's talk pre-FvF first.
In her first go, Parvati competed in one individual endurance Immunity Challenge. It was the one where there's a big vertical pole and you have to hang on to it as long as you can without touching the ground. She finished a respectable 4th out of 9. However, this type of challenge favors those of small statures, which both Natalie and Amanda have. Cirie competed in two individual endurance Immunity Challenges in her season, and failed at both of them. The first was right after the merge. It was much like the one I mentioned for Parvati, except this time the pole was horizontal instead of vertical. She was the first person to drop, after only 3 minutes. The second challenge came at the final six, where the Survivors had to hold ropes holding 20% of the body weight, with the weight increasing by 10% over time. Cirie managed to last 18 minutes, 5 more than the only person she beat in this challenge (Shane). Amanda also played in two individual endurance Immunity Challenges. The first one involved balancing on a barrel that was rapidly draining water. Much like Parvati's challenge, she finished 4th out of 9. And again, this type of challenge favors those of small statures, which both Natalie and Parvati have. However, when Amanda lost this challenge, it was not because she fell but because she was disqualified. She touched one of her barrel's stationary supports, which was a no-no. Her second challenge was at the final four, and involved balancing china dishes on the end of a long, wobbly balancing arm. She won this challenge. It should also be noted the Denise, the runner up in the challenge, tried to cut a deal with Amanda, but she refused. Now, on to this season's endurance challenges. The first one is very loosely classified as endurance, but what the heck. It was the one where they had to hold themselves under metal bars as the tide came in. Of the four women, Amanda was the first out because she lost her focus and her head came out from beneath her grate. Parvati finished 3rd among the ladies, Cirie second, and Natalie lasted the longest. The second challenge was the the keep your arm above your head challenge. Cirie was the first of the women to tip her bucket, but she willingly dropped out to split some gummy worms with Erik. She had announced before it was even revealed that if it was food she was out. Natalie was next. However she was not tempted off, but stated that she felt like she was going to pass out. Amanda dropped out after 5 hours, because she had to pee. Parvati won after 6 hours, and could have potentially gone longer had Jason not stepped down to give food to the tribe. So, who is likely to win this last Immunity? Cirie has had a very poor score to date, so she's not the odds on favorite here. Amanda has won a final Immunity in the past, but on the whole she seems to lack the focus needed to seal the deal, and that might cost her the win. That leaves Natalie and Parvati. Parv's challenge record has been better than Nat's, so I think I'm going to give the win to here. So, the vote. The predictable answer is Amanda, Parvati, and Cirie will stick together and vote Natalie out. However, this season has been far from predictable. Cirie has been a mastermind this season. She forced her tribe to vote Yau-Man out when she felt threated by him, she took the initiative to blindside Ozzy when he wanted to go back on his deal to not vote Jason, and she suggested to Natalie to get Erik to give her the Immunity Necklace and coached Parvati and Amanda to rake him over the coals at Tribal Council to help the cause. So, what the hell, lets say it's a 2-2 vote between Natalie and Amanda. Fire building challenge is a go. I think that one could go either way, but I'm going to give the win to Amanda. That makes the final three Amanda, Parvati, and Cirie. Eliza seemed to enjoy the blindsides, and Cirie was a large part in all of them. Plus, her push to get rid of Yau bought Eliza some more time. So I give Eliza's vote to Cirie. Ozzy's a prick. He's very self-oriented. When he lies to someone, it's cool. When someone lies to him, they're the spawn of Satan. Cirie and Parvati voted Ozzy, so Ozzy will give his vote to Amanda. Jason's a wildcard, which is the nicest was that I can say that he's a fucking idiot. I doubt he'll vote Amanda, because she lied to him when he gave up Immunity to feed the tribe, but his vote really could be for anyone. I'll give it Parvati, for the sake of symmetry. James could maybe possibly vote for Cirie. He said himself back at the Yau-Man vote that she somehow when from the swing vote to the one running the whole damn thing. However, he's Mr. Don't Eat The Apple, never seeming to grasp the fact the if you're working to maintain the status quo it's only because you're the one who it most benefits so you're in the most trouble. James votes Amanda. Alexis didn't get enough airtime for me to gauge how she would vote, so I'm simply going to lay it out like this. Cirie voted with her in an attempt to out Amanda, Amanda and Parvati blindsided her with the hidden Immunity Idol. She gives her vote to Cirie. Erik, not having learned anything from being voted out, is still feeling the need to make himself look better, so he gives his vote to his "friend" Amanda. Natalie, being a manipulator herself, respects Cirie's gameplay. She also feels a bit indebted to her for forcing the 2-2 tie and giving her the opportunity to save herself. Natalie backs Cirie. So, for the first time in Survivor history, the Final Tribal Council is deadlocked at 3-3-1. (Jason being the lone voter makes the scenario all the more plausible to me.) A live revote is cast, and Cirie is declared the Soul Survivor.

Interesting prediction, Paul.
The CBS website states that Ozzy has some "emotional" choice words for the final three at the final tribal council, which leaves some people "stunned", which leads me to believe he more than rips into at least Parvati (I'm not sure about Cirie here), and I'm more than certain that Cirie will not take it. 'Cause that doesn't seem to be in Cirie's style. To sum up, Ozzy's a whiny little bitch who can't handle that he got played. |

This season has been so Parvati/Amanda heavy so I would love it if Cirie could pull out a victory.

I think Amanda will probably win it for some reason. I don't see them keeping Cirie because she is a major threat to them in the end. IF Cirie goes to the
final 3, she has won this game, and I am sure Pavarti and Amanda know this. And with what's going on, Parvati will have to answer to the jury more than
Amanda, at least in my mind.
And does anyone else think that Erik, the super fan, going home is almost like a greek tragedy? He knows this show almost inside out, yet makes perhaps one of the worst moves you can possibly make in the final strech of the game? It's sad, really. |

I didn't even notice that. Lol.
I will never get over what Erik did; I hate it so much. Haha. He was probably one of the biggest fans ever in the entire group of "fans", and he made such a horrific blunder. To be honest I don't think Erik should ever have given it up; I think Eliza was the only one who really had anything against him. I don't see what the others would've held against him. |

I don't think Eliza even had anything against him. I think he felt people thought people like Cirie and Amanda played a better game than him-that he
floated to the end.
What I don't get is how giving up immunity would solve that problem. And even so, 3rd or 2nd is better than 5th. Go Cirie. |

I just saw a little commercial on the CBS website, and it said 3 Tribal Councils. That means either A) it's a Final Two and not Final Three, in which case
there's an even number of jurors, which seems unlikely. Or B) I was right, the vote is deadlocked, and there is a live revote. I can't think of any
other scenarios.

They said "3 tribal councils" for last season's finale too, with the third being the Sprint(TM) $100,000 prize for James. Not really a
"tribal council," but hey, that's CBS advertising for ya.

I'm kind of....upset?
I think it should of went to Amanda over Parvati. But then again, Cirie did have a point about Amanda maybe winning over her in the end. I at least called Cirie getting axed in the end, but it is still kind of sad, because I did want her to win in the end. |

I was disappointed that Cirie didn't win. She played brilliantly the entire time, and it really sucks to go that far and, for the second time, get cut just
short of the win. If she had gone to the end, I think she would have won it.
I didn't like Parvati a lot while I watched this, and I despised her even more during her original season. However, I must say that I am glad she won in the end. Of the two, I do feel that she was more deserving. She played a really cut-throat game, and I would say she was pretty open about it (aside from the blindsiding she had to do). She didn't rely as heavily on the "flirt" strategy as she did last time; she played really hard. She was really open about everything she said, too, at the final tribal council, which was pretty cool. She relished in the fact that she screwed over so many people. Joel is just as much of an asshole in person as he was on the show. I figured he may have had time to cool down over the Chet thing, but it seemed like he was still just as annoyed and irritated by Chet as he was initially. Chet wasn't a bad guy. However, I do think that he gave himself a bit too much credit for "outlasting" the "athletic people". It wasn't his brilliant strategy or anything that got him so far; it was Tracy saving his ass every single round she could. He would've gone further in the game if he hadn't asked to be voted out, too. I love that Jeff is so open about his distaste for Fairplay. Too bad for Mikey B. that his only spot in the reunion was to talk about his mom being dead, on all days such as Mother's Day. Heh. Mary marrying Ryno? Who cares. He was irrelevant in his own season, as much as she was in this one. I'm still kind of annoyed that Yau-Man got the boot so early. He was such an awesome guy, so it kind of sucked to only see him speak for such little time. I wonder how differently the game would have gone down had it not been for Jonathan? I know that he would have been gunning for Parvati, that's for sure. I think things would've been much different. Unfortunate for Kathy that she felt so inclined to quit the game. She was interesting to watch, even if she wasn't at all a strategic player. I wonder if she would've been apart of a woman's alliance in the end? Or what would have been her downfall? Tracy was a great player, so it was unfortunate to see her leave the game so early. Ami was nowhere near the player she originally was in Vanuatu, and the only thing that seemed remotely reminiscent of that was when she was waving the machete in Erik's face after she felt assured that she was now apart of the "family" on her tribe, and basically spelling his doom to him. Eliza's speech seemed, more or less, similar to the one she gave Twila, minus outright saying, "You're a bitch." Does anyone else thing that Eliza was the nerdy, kind of bitchy, in-your-face annoying kid in school? That's the impression I get from her. Kind of awkward, too. She seems to always be heavily disliked by someone in the end, and the jury seems to be her chance to tell them they suck -- kind of like seeing that "popular" guy in school actually be a washed-up loser at a high school reunion. Ozzy was civil. It was funny that he pointed out the fact that him trusting anyone at all was what screwed him. I don't even know how he managed to make it so far in Cook Islands without having a real solid alliance. Jason was fine. Not much to say about him. Got a really bad edit on the show, basically making him look like a total moron. Too bad for Alexis. I don't think she was very interesting in anyway, so whatever. Hooray for James. He is a pretty cool guy. Nice that he won the most popular thing two seasons in a row. A pretty cool guy. It's extremely crappy that he, of all people, had to be booted from the game over a FINGER INJURY. Erik... oh, Erik. A really, really awesome and genuine guy. He really didn't have the cut-throat, bastardly attitude that is sometimes required to play this game, even if he was a huge fan. But he was a good kid the entire way through. Really cool. I totally enjoyed watching him, and died when he gave away immunity. I felt really bad for him with Jeff and everyone just shoving in his face the move he made. I can see why he did it; it's not that big of a deal. It was a risk that didn't pay off, and he knows what he did. I don't know if being called dumb a million times in five minutes was the best way to go about it. Natalie was actually pretty cool to watch. I enjoyed her "questioning" of Amanda and Parvati. Very... interesting. Seemed to be some sexual chemistry there, which was... bizarre. Haha. It seemed very light-hearted. I like that Natalie owned up to being pretty much out of nowhere. She actually did play it pretty smart for the most part. Kept herself quiet, like she knew she should or else she'd be screwed, and brought it out when it was necessary. And it worked. So I give her credit for that. Although it was brief, she played a good game. All in all, it was actually a pretty good season. Looking forward to Gabon. Didn't even have a huge twist to it, which is surprising. |
